ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADES!!!!!!!

When March hits the first thing I think of is St. Patty's Day Parades!! The weather is getting nicer and I love to be outside. St. Patty's Day Parades gives our family a chance to be outside and enjoy a parade together with friends. We ususally go to the store and get a few "green" necklaces, hats and funny glasses and head out to a local parade. Where every you live on long island there is a parade near you. See below for list of upcoming parades in your area. 

Kings Park St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 7th @ 12pm. Route starts at the corner of Lou Avenue and Pulaski Road, continues down Main Street, turns into Church Street, ending on Old Dock Road at William T. Rogers Middle School featuring Irish dancers, bagpipe bands, floats, marching bands, grand marshals Margaret Kirby Foley and James Kirby.

Huntington St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 8th @ 2pm. The parade starts north of Huntington train station along New York Avenue onto Main Street ending at Saint Patrick's Church.

Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 14th @ 12. Starts at the corner of Oneck Lane and Mill Road (at the Middle School), runs south to Main Street and ends at the corner of Sunset Avenue. Parade features pipe bands, floats, dancing groups, fire trucks, vintage cars and more.

Amagansett St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 14th @ 12. Billed as the "world's shortest parade," steps off at Mary's Marvelous and ends at the Stephen Talkhouse on Main Street

St. James St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 14th @ 1pm. The parade steps off along Lake Avenue from Woodlawn Avenue to the viewing stand in front of the gazebo ending just before St James Elementary School, rain or shine. Scouts, dance troupes, pipe bands, school bands, floats, fire trucks and antique cars will be in the parade.

BayShore-Brightwaters St. Patrick's Day Parade
- March 14th @ 2pm. Parade steps off from Saxon Avenue and Main Street left on Main Street/Montauk Highway to Clinton Avenue. Viewing stand at St. Patrick's Church on Main Street and Clinton Avenue. Featuring marching and pipe and drum, floats, horses, clowns and antique cars.

Cutchogue St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 14th @ 2pm. Parade runs down Rt 25 starting at Cox Lane and ending at the Cutchogue New Suffolk Library. There will be pipe bands, Irish step dancers, vintage cars, farm animals, local fire departments, marching bands, civic organizations and more.

Bayport-Bluepoint St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 15th @ 11am. Parade will celebrate their 25th anniversary. Route starts at Snedecor Avenue in Bayport and ends at the Blue Point Elementary School in Blue Point. Featuring floats, bands, local fire departments and more. Grand marshal's will be the members of both Bayport and Blue Point fire department's. Rain date March 22.

Rocky Point St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 15th @ 1pm. Features various floats, bands, Irish dancers, fire trucks and more. Parade route runs east on 25A, starting at Harrison Ave. in Miller Place and ending at the corner of Broadway in Rocky Point.

Center Moriches St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 15th @ 2pm. Route runs on Main Street from Lake Avenue east to South Ocean Avenue and will feature fire trucks, bands, floats, Irish dancers.

Hampton Bays St. Patrick's Day Parade  -  March 21st @ 11am. Parade starts at the Hampton Bays Elementary School on Ponquogue Avenue to Montauk Highway and west to the reviewing stand, ending in the Hampton Atrium parking lot and featuring eight bagpipe bands, various floats, Irish dancers and local youth groups.

Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 21st @ 12pm. Parade steps off at Long Beach Road and Maple Avenue, continues along Maple Avenue ending on North Village and Quealy Place, grand marshal is Bob Williams.

Brentwood St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 21st @ 1pm. Steps off at intersection of Washington Avenue and Clarke Street and continues south and ends at Ross Park on Brentwood Road.       


Patchogue St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 22nd @ 11am. Begins with a 5k run. Parade starts on Route 112 and East Main Street and runs west to the corner of West Avenue and West Main, featuring pipe bands, floats, baton twirlers, fire departments and pip bands.

Montauk St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 22nd @ 11:30am. The parade runs up Edgemere Street and then turns on to Main Street and finishes at the end of Main Street by the IGA and will feature floats, bands, pipe bands, fire departments, antique cars and more.

Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 22nd @ 1pm. Parade starts at the Northside Elementary School on Powell Place ending at the Village Green on Main Street, featuring Legislator Rose Walker as the grand marshal.

Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 22nd @ 1pm. Parade starts at Forest Avenue, at the Finley Middle School, on to School Street, then Glen Street and finishes at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, a centennial celebration of catholic school education, and will feature six pipe bands, brass and percussion bands, antique cars, military trucks,  and Irish step dancers.

Jamesport St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 28th @ 1pm. Parade kicks off on Main Road and Washington Avenue, left on Manor Lane ending at the Jamesport Fire Department. Marching in the parade will be the Suffolk County Police Officers Emerald Society Pipe Band, The Pipes and Drums Of The Emerald Society of the NYPD, vintage cars, farm animals, marching bands and more.
