Itsy Bitsy Spider

Macaroni Made

By Sabrina Condon Macaroni Kid Brewster-Mahopac-Carmel November 1, 2012

Super fast and super cute, enjoy this fun craft with your kiddos!

Materials:

  • 12 pipe cleaners, various colors
  • 5 puff-balls size med-large
  • 5 puff-balls size small
  • 10 googly eyes
  • Glue (I used a glue gun, but use safer, regular glue when making with your kiddos!)

Directions

  • Twine the ends of two pipe cleaners together, creating one long pipe cleaner
  • Snip the remaining 10 pipe cleaners in half, making the spider legs

  • Take 4 spider legs, and wind the long pipe cleaner around the center of the legs.
  • Go up a few inches, wind the long pipe cleaner around the next set of legs.
  • Continue until you have 5 sets of spider legs (Save a couple inches of pipe cleaner at the top for hanging.)

  • Glue the 5 larger puff-balls into the center of each spider leg set
  • Glue the 5 smaller puff-balls onto the larger ones, creating the spider noses
  • Glue 2 googly eyes to each large puff-ball
  • Bend the spider legs and you’re done!
