Calling all soccer fans! There are new classes in town for the smallest of soccer stars ages 2-8! Soccer Shots of Central Suffolk has added a plethora of classes in our area! Classes will be starting this fall in towns such as Stony Brook, E Setauket, Port Jefferson, Mt Sinai and more!
I am so excited to be experiencing Soccer Shots first hand! My kids Jack (4) and Hannah (3) are signed up for the fall. I will be sharing with you first hand our experience as they learn not only soccer skills, but teamwork, respect, and appreciation. Follow our journey on Facebook and Instagram.
Each class is tailored to your child’s specific age and aligns with childhood education standards.
Often as a parent, we are the teacher to our children, showing them the difference between wrong and right, showing respect, caring for others, sharing, and the list goes on and on. But let’s not forget to take notice that our children are teaching us so many things about ourselves and the world around us that we may not have expected. That rings true for Owner Jennifer Sloat. Jennifer began Central Suffolk Soccer Shots with her husband to foster a love of the game within children after her own kids instilled a love of the game in her. She believes in creating opportunities for all youth to play soccer at any level they choose.
“Soccer is a great sport for young children. Our coaches not only love working with kids but are trained and experienced with this age group,” said Sloat. The program, which focuses on character development, has been named the official two-to five-year-old soccer program for U.S. Youth Soccer. “We are excited about the opportunity to have a positive impact on the kids in the community,” added Sloat. “It’s pretty rewarding to see kids gain confidence and just have a blast on the field. It’s great seeing the parents enjoying the time with their kids and just having fun,” she stated.

MINI (Age 2): Soccer Shots Mini is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. |
CLASSIC (Ages 3-5): Soccer Shots Classic utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation. |
PREMIER (Ages 5-7): Soccer Shots Premier focuses on individual skill, fitness, and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner. |
