Roseland School of Dance offers the children of the Mt Sinai community superior dance training in a positive, confidence-building environment. At Roseland, dancers learn to WIN from WITHIN. We strive to bring out the best in our students and make sure they leave each class feeling accomplished and satisfied. Classes are offered in many styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, tumbling and pointe. We believe every age should enjoy the art of dance and offer classes beginning at the age of 20 months.
Owners of Roseland School of Dance, Mt Sinai, Krista Morrione and Jacqueline Schrage have spent their lives dancing, teaching and directing under Roseland philosophies. Emphasis is placed on the love of dance for each individual student. Roseland philosophies have been proven for successful development in dance throughout our four Long Island studios. Each studio is individually owned which allows for personal attention to all students and parents.
Roseland students dedicate their dance year to learning specific styles of dance and are able to show off all of their hard work at our annual recitals. Each recital is professionally produced with accommodating theaters, scenic backdrops, exciting lighting, professional stage crews and state of the art sound systems. Each recital theme, song, and costume is carefully selected in order to ensure the best possible experience for both the dancers and the audience. Our music is professionally edited and our costumes are thoughtfully chosen.
Besides offering the community quality dance classes and recitals, Roseland is involved in so much more. The studio donates it’s time and space to local Girl Scout troops looking to earn their National badges. Girl Scouts are welcome to take a troop dance class with one of Roseland’s instructors and at the end receive their National dance and exercise badges. Roseland also offers the best birthday parties for kids who like to dance and play. Parties are complete with food, activities, music, and more. Roseland also gives back to the community through preschools and libraries. Some of our favorite experiences are outside of our studio. Roseland offers Music and Movement classes for little ones at many outside locations. Little ones get to play, dance, and move to some of their favorite songs and don’t have to travel in order to do so.
Roseland School of Dance takes pride in bringing the community a beautiful studio where children can dance and express themselves without feeling judged. Our goal is to make the studio a place where students and families feel comfort and warmth. We believe that dance cannot be judged and hope to teach the children of Mount Sinai to be happy and confident within themselves. This year, we celebrate five years in the Mt Sinai community, and many more to come!
