My daughter goes for dance classes at Roseland School of Dance in Mt Sinai. I really adore her teacher and the owner Miss Jacquie. I was able to "virtually" interview her as a way to add some spotlight on her school during this difficult time when everything is shut down. Read on to learn more about this special dance school:
Q: What does Roseland School of Dance in Mt Sinai offer?
Roseland School of Dance, Mt Sinai offers a positive, non-competitive environment for children to learn proper dance techniques. We offer dance classes in many styles including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Lyrical and more. We believe dance is an expression to music and all expressions are beautiful. We are committed to bringing this philosophy to all of our students as well as bringing them an excellent dance education. We teach students to Win from Within!
Q: What does small business mean to you/or why do you think it's important?
Small business is important to create a sense of community throughout our neighborhood. Small businesses create comfortable spaces where everyone knows your name and makes you feel welcomed. By having a small business, I have gotten to know and care for each of our students and their families. The relationships and bonds people can form through small business are immeasurable.
Q: How has your business been affected by the coronavirus?
Classes at Roseland School of Dance, Mt Sinai are currently postponed due to the coronavirus. We think it is important to do our part in the community by postponing our classes in order to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Q: How are you planning on connecting with your dancers while there is a quarantine?
We will continue to connect with our dancers by posting videos from our staff and dance-related activities on our Facebook page. We would love to see photos and videos of our dancers as well!
Q: How can the community support you during this difficult time?
The community can support us by continuing to dance with us at home. Tag us in your at-home dance videos on Facebook and Instagram!
Q: Is there anything else you would like the community to know about you and your business?
