Suffolk County Farm Reopens

By Helen Partlow, Mt Sinai & Port Jefferson Macaroni Publisher July 8, 2020

My kids and I have wonderful memories at the Suffolk County Farm.  We have been taking learn and play classes since my son could barely walk (they are holding classes this summer!) as well as enjoyed many events or family days meandering around.  My favorite events they hold are baby animal weekend in May and their Halloween event in October.  However, the farm is open 9am-3pm to visitors, starting this week on 7/8!  They have made the necessary changes to comply with the New York regulations regarding COVID.  Be prepared to wear a mask and same with your children if they are over the age of 2.  They have implemented extra protocols for both staff and visitors including extra provisions around high traffic areas.  Their bathrooms will be opened and will be cleaned twice a day as well.  The outdoor classroom is open and animal feed is available for purchase.

It would be a welcomed treat for your family to visit this farm I am sure.  Enjoy the fresh air and their cute animals!  They also have an upcoming event at night!  We have gone before and it's always so much fun to see the farm at night - it's totally different!

If you are unavailable to go, but still want to show your support, you can donate to their gofundme page.
