Winter Break Workshops at Art Studio E

Come in from the cold this winter break and release your inner artist at Art Studio E in Rocky Point!  Studio E is an art education center specializing in painting and clay classes for students of all ages. We offer classes to students ages 12 months-adults and feature a clay studio with 12 high powered pottery wheels. All children's classes are taught and overseen by a NYS Certified Art Teacher, as we have a standard of excellence within all of our educational programs.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 9-11:30AM


Mixed Media Tiger Inspired By Henri Rousseau

This is a drop off program recommended for students ages 5-9
Students will learn about the life and history of famous artist, Henri Rousseau, while receiving step by step guidance to create their own inspired tiger! Work will be made on 16x20 thick bristol board.
Goldfish snack and apple juice included.

Ceramic Piranha Planter

This is a drop off program reccomended  for students ages 8-13
In this workshop, students will learn hand building techniques, receiving step by step guidance to create their own ceramic planters (Inspired by the Nintendo piranha plant.)  No prior experience is necessary! Students will get to underglaze their projects so that they come out shiny and colorful! Please note, projects need to get fired after the workshop. It usually takes about two weeks and we will call you when your project is ready for pick up. Goldfish snack and apple juice included.

Painted Freida Kahlo Inspired Face

This is a drop off program recommended for students ages 8-13
Students will learn about the life and history of Mexican artist, Freida Kahlo, while creating a step by step face inspired by her painting. Work will be made on 16x20 canvas

Handbuilt Ceramic Butterfly Workshop

This is a drop off program reccomended  for students ages 8-13
In this workshop, students will learn hand building techniques, receiving step by step guidance to create their own ceramic butterflies.  No prior experience is necessary! Students will get to underglaze their projects so that they come out shiny and colorful! Please note, projects need to get fired after the workshop. Handbuilt Ceramic Relief Mugs

This is a drop off program reccomended  for students ages 8-13

Mixed Media Self Portraits Inspired by Roy Litchenstein

This is a drop off program recommended for students ages 8-13
Students will learn about the life and history of famous artist, Roy Ltchenstein, while creating a self portrait based in his style. The teacher will take a picture of each student and print them, assisting each student to draw and paint their own face. Work will be made on 16x20 canvas. Goldfish snack and apple juice included.

Mixed Media Georgia O'Keeffe Inspired Flowers

This is a drop off program recommended for students ages 5-9
Students will learn about the life and history of famous artist, Georgia O'keeffe  while receiving step by step guidance to create their own inspired  close up flower! Work will be made on 16x20 thick bristol board. Goldfish snack and apple juice included.

About Studio E

Studio E is an art education center specializing in painting and clay classes for students of all ages. We offer classes to students ages 12 months-adults and feature a clay studio with nine high powered pottery wheels. All children's classes are taught and overseen by a NYS Certified Art Teacher, as we have a standard of excellence within all of our educational programs. 

Studio E offers 7 week class sessions throughout the year. Students must register in advance to hold their seat. Scroll up to learn about and register for our current class sessions. 

Studio E was purchased by Michelle and Stelios Stylianou in 2012, although our studio has been serving the local community with art education since 1991. Our goal is to challenge students by creating a safe space for creating while pushing students to new levels of technical ability with each class. Notable artists and art movements are incorporated into most lessons, creating an educational and inspiring environment.
