Childhood is a magical time in one's life.  Unicorns exist, being a princess is an actual job title, and each day is full of endless possibilities. There are only 18 summers, 18 birthdays you get to plan for your child, often much less as they become a teenager.  They go by so fast so we have to make sure to hold on tight and make the most of them.  I know myself I am trying to fit in as many magical moments as possible to cherish the rest of our lives.

I have heard from many readers in our personal conversations that they find Benner's Farm to be a magical place and that their kids have made such great memories there.  Benner's Farm and its staff are nothing short of magical themselves, bringing the farm to life and making us feel connected to their many animals.  We have found the same thing to be true in our experience - Benner's Farm is something special and a gift to the community, especially the kids.

Hannah had her 5th birthday party there this past weekend.  Originally, it was supposed to be a month ago but it was on a day with 50-degree weather, rain, and wind.  Not ideal.  But Benner's Farm was very accommodating and we rescheduled the party and I am so glad we did!  It was a warm sunny day, but there is a lot of shade at the farm and a cool breeze.  We got the perfect spot under tall trees, creating a lot of cool shade.  One of our party hostesses helped us set up and things were perfect by the time the first guest arrived.

During the party, the kids got to make a sunflower seed pod to bring home (sunflowers are my FAVORITE!) and enjoyed a tractor ride around the farm.

The highlight, however, was definitely the animals!  The kids got to hold baby chicks and bunnies, something some of them did for the first time at the party.  This one-on-one time with the smallest animals on the farm was quite magical.  Then we were led on a tour of the farm, stopping by each animal and feeding them.  We got to go in to see the goats, baby kids, and the sheep!

After, we headed back to our spot in the shade for pizza, cupcakes and a pinata!  It was so lovely to feel "normal" and to see people we haven't seen in a year and a half.

Thank you Benner's Farm, for making my daughter's party so magical and allowing me to continue making magical memories with my family.  I would highly recommend anyone looking for a fun birthday party for your child to consider Benner's Farm.  The farm also has mommy and me classes, workshops, private tours, summer camp and more!

About Benner's Farm

Benner's Farm is a private fifteen-acre family homestead, first farmed in the 1700s. Each year the farm provides thousands of people a sense of what it was like to live on a small farm in years past. We Benner’s are the seventh family to farm this land. We have been farming organically since the late nineteen seventies in our family garden and fields of strawberries, and also raise a variety of farm animals for self-sufficient living. Thousands of people come to visit and participate in the many workshops, festivals and special events during the year.
