The NYC Winter Lantern Festival is back this year and they have added a brand new show: A BUG'S NIGHT: DRIVE-THRU ADVENTURE at Nassau County Museum of Art on Long Island! My family was invited to go and we were so excited to check out this new event.

A BUG'S NIGHT: DRIVE-THRU ADVENTURE is located in Roslyn, so just about 45 mins to an hour from our house. Thankfully as we got closer, there was a sign for the festival, making it easy to spot. We showed them our ticket and in we went! The lanterns started almost immediately and glowed warmly in the darkness. We were greeted by frogs and flowers. The kids started to "oooh" and "ahhh" right away. My husband commented how well thought out it was and innovative.

Along our journey, we spotted lots of fun creatures such as triceratops, T-Rex (my son's favorite), beautiful flowers, safari animals, and a Venus fly trap. The road gently took us around the property, exploring what was to come next. My sons favorite was definitely the dinosaurs! He was surprised to see a few of them moving. My daughter really enjoyed seeing the kitties and the flowers.

After about 15-20 mins, we were at the end of our lantern adventure. In a big parking lot, there was a vendor selling fried ice cream, and plenty of portable toilets should you need them.
My family and I really enjoyed driving through this new experience. We are big enthusiasts for looking at light displays, and this one was unlike any we had seen. It's a great night out for the whole family!
