This past weekend we had the opportunity to go to @splishsplashwp !!!! We love going and it’s become a tradition to go for my birthday. This year I am glad we were back! When my kids were littles, they loved kiddie cove, the wave pool and the lazy river. Now that they are getting older, they are venturing out into the real rides! Hannah just loved Mammoth River, which is a ride the whole family can do together on one giant tube. My son loved Max Trax which is a pair of slides where one goes straight down and the other is wavy and bumpy.
I am super proud of them both for trying Shotgun Falls! You need to be a strong swimmer for this one and I saw the lifeguards jump into action if anyone was struggling. But my kids did it with ease!
I love how many chairs they have to accommodate the big crowd that was there for the heat wave. And I also love how much shade there is in the park.
My favorites are the wave pool, lazy river, and soak city.
Some tips:
- Splish Splash is a cashless park but has machines that will put your cash on a card for you to use
- Bring a waterproof lanyard case to keep your cell phone and credit cards in as you walk around the park
- Designate a meeting area if your party splits up and you don’t all have cell phones
- Get there early and stay late. Right at opening go to your favorite popular attraction before the crowds come or stay late after some people start to leave to enjoy less wait times
- Purchase H2O passes which help you bypass the lines if you’re going during peak times
- Johnny Rockets has mobile ordering, just scan their QR code nearby
- There are dressing rooms not everyone knows about behind the churro stand so you don’t have to change in the bathrooms
- Some libraries sell discounted tickets so check yours before you go
