Description
Come to the Long Island Maritime Museum on Friday, October 28th to partake in the 32nd Annual Halloween Boat Burning! Tickets will be $5 per person. Children 5 and under are FREE!
Each year, the Museum receives a donation of a large wooden boat that is beyond repair. Loosely based on the Norse tradition of a Viking funeral, the boat is placed in the center of the Museum's property and set ablaze, to the delight of the many visitors in attendance. There will be entertainment and light refreshments on the property.
At the end of the night, we will be raffling off this year's raffle boat- a gorgeous lightweight lapstrake built by our volunteers in the Bob Grooms Moonbeam Boat Shop.
